Stop Rhino Poaching in Namibia
Namibia is home to one of the world's largest black rhino populations. Every rhino lost is a loss to our natural heritage. Add your voice to demand stronger action on rhino poaching.

Namibia stands at a crossroads.
Our country shelters one of the last viable populations of black rhino on earth. Generations of rangers, conservancies, and communities have fought to keep these animals on the land. But rhino poaching continues, driven by international demand and organised crime.
What we are asking for
We, the undersigned, call on the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism, the Namibian Police, and the Office of the Prosecutor-General to:
1. Increase resources for anti-poaching units operating in known hotspot areas, including pay, equipment, and vehicle support.
2. Prosecute to the maximum sentence under the Controlled Wildlife Products and Trade Act. No bail for repeat offenders.
3. Publish quarterly statistics on arrests, prosecutions, and conviction rates so the public can see progress.
4. Support the conservancies whose rangers are the first line of defence, with sustainable long-term funding tied to anti-poaching outcomes.
5. Tighten border controls on known horn trafficking routes.
Why this matters
A rhino takes twenty-five years to mature and breeds slowly. Once a population is lost, it does not come back in our lifetime. Every signature on this petition is one more voice telling our leaders that Namibians will not accept losing these animals on their watch.
Who we are
BushAlert is an anti-poaching intelligence platform built by rangers, for rangers, operating in Namibia. This petition was created by our team and the rangers we support.
